1972 Land Rover Series III – LHD 109 Safari “Mr Bumpy”
Trevor and his family on a recent visit to our premises – for the children to see where Mr Bumpy came from !
The photographs above show “HWK” at our premises in Huddersfield, prior to shipping. Just click on any of the thumbnail images on this page for the full size picture.
The photographs below show “Mr Bumpy” at “BIG LAKE” (not very original – as Trevor admits!), but it is a beautiful place, and only 10 minutes from Trevor’s’ home. He says, he can be home at 4pm, and have a canoe in the water, fishing for bass, 10 minutes later !
The source for the lake, is the Grand Lake stream – which is one of the most famous trout and salmon streams in New England. General Doolittle of the famous Tokyo bombing raid in W.W.II used to land his B25 Mitchell in Princeton to go fishing at Grand Lake.
In a couple of the pictures below, you will see Haleigh and Kolya, Trevor’s children, enjoying the view from “Mr Bumpy’s” front fenders. Our thanks to Trevor for the great pictures and fantastic scenery.
Above are two pictures taken recently at a car show in Portland |
