BU05 ONL – 2005 Land Rover 110 County Station Wagon XS – 9 seater – 1 owner – Galvanised Chassis
Finished in Alveston Red Metallic with Black roof and 1/2 leather county cloth trim.
One of the last proper 9 seater station wagons, with the benefit of some cosmetic upgrades and of course – the galvanised chassis.
1 owner from new – with extensive service records – firstly with Roger Young Land Rover, Cornwall and then Whitehair 4 x 4 specialists – also in Cornwall.
Back in 2016, the Land Rover was involved in a relatively minor “fender bender” to the front offside – which damaged some panels, damaged some mechanics (radiator / inter-cooler etc) and bent the very front O’S chassis leg.
The insurance company wanted to write it off (as they often dob’t understand Land Rovers !) – but the owner (having had it from new) wanted it repaired. There is a folder documenting the back and forth between owner and insurance company – with the end result that the insurance company paid to have the vehicle repaired. This was done at Roger Young Land Rover, and included the fitting of a new galvanised chassis, bonnet, wing front panel etc etc
The repair work is fully documented and guarantee, and lists all work carried out, parts used, paint etc – to a total cost of £13,400
Subsequently – the Land Rover is recorded as a “CAT C” insurance claim ( Uneconomic to repair)
However, it now benefits from a Galvanised chassis and cosmetic upgrades – exceeding the condition of similar aged Land Rovers

To say that the previous owner looked after this Land Rover is an understatement – he had to fight his corner to have the above repairs carried out, and during his 17 year ownership has expended over £18,000 in service, MOT and repair bills (in addition to the cost of accident damage repairs).
