Where to start ?
This is one of the most delightful Land Rovers that we have had the pleasure to own.
Having just returned from a 50 mile run in the Land Rover, I can report that it drives every bit as good as it looks.
This is an original 88″ – 7 seater Station Wagon, and as such benefits from:
- 4 x Individual rear seats – “Elephant Hide”
- 3 x front seats – Deluxe Grey Vinyl
- Safari “double skin” roof
- Station wagon rear door
- Sliding side windows
- Full roof headlining
- Full “Elephant Hide” rear trim
- “Elephant hide” front and rear door trims
Being a 1968 it also features
- Headlamps in grill panel
- Smiths round heater
- Original Indicator Stalk
Additional features:
- Deluxe Bonnet
- Overdrive
- “Trico” washers
- Oil pressure gauge
- Hazard lights
- Intermittent wipers
There is also a huge history file with this Land Rover, which includes many old MOT certificates, and tax discs, some copies of “The Land Rover Safari Owners Club” magazine from the ’80s, plus the original “Owner’s Instruction Manual & Owner’s Maintenance Manual”from the late ’60s (not reprints) – in their original card sleeve.
This Land Rover is also the one featured on the front of the 1988 genuine parts calender and the Land Rover address book, which were both produced to celebrate “Forty Years of Progress”.
A copy of each is included with the Land Rover.
To sum up, if you are looking for an original condition short wheel base station wagon – with an excellent pedigree, that is ready to show, or to simply enjoy – You will be hard pressed to find a better example.
Private plate “3 HUB” not included in sale – The Land Rover is now re-registered with it’s original PAC 585F registration.
To be sold fully serviced, with 12 months MOT plus 3 months Silver Warranty
