Back in 1998, Michael from Carmel Valley California purchased a 1962 Series 2A soft top – Galvanised chassis rebuild from us.
I remember the conversation, he wanted to make sure we gave it a thorough check over before shipping it, as he has “a long drive home”.
In actual fact, he had us ship it to the East Coast of the united states, and then embarked on a “Trip of a lifetime” and drove the 3,000 miles home to California, passing through many states including Nevada, Colorado, and of course Midway, Kansas.
Michael has recently re-commissioned the Land Rover after a period of non-use, and today we were very happy to receive his recent pictures.
