An interesting arrival today is this “pre-production” Land Rover 88″ County “Press Fleet” Series III
XKV 415X is part of a batch of Land Rovers that was produced prior to the launch of the new “County” model at Blenheim Palace in 1982.
This particular Land Rover was present at the launch, and also featured in the 1982 Autocar magazine write up detailing the new model.
We will be fitting a new galvanised chassis and carrying out a restoration for its current custodian – Matt in Cheshire.
