A post on one of the Facebook groups today, prompted us to dust off our old stock books.
Gerard posted this screen capture of Wesley’s Land Rover from an old episode of “Last oi the summer wine”
last of the summer wine ran from 1973 to 2010 – Filmed locally in Holmfirth. Over the years we were asked on many occasions to loan Land Rovers to the film set, to assist in many of the antics.
On spotting this picture, we immediately knew that it was a Land Rover restored by Land Rover Centre – and so set about digging out the records.
The records show that it was an X – Utility company vehicle purchased in November 1989 and subsequently sold to a private buyer in West Bromwich in May 1990.
It would actually be one of the first Land Rovers sold by our current Sales manager Mark Griffiths – who at that time had only just joined the company a couple of months earlier in March 1990 !!
