“Lucille” is a 1978 Land Rover Series III – 7 seater Station Wagon, that we have known for many years.
Supplied new to “Radio Trent Limited” in September 1978 by Wadham Stringer (Nottingham) Ltd.
Our first encounter with her was in 1999, when we purchased her direct from Radio Trent – at which time she had covered a miserly 16,000 miles
A cosmetic refurbishment was carried out at that time, and then she went to live with Bill.
We have had 2 further encounters with Lucille – once in 2006 and again in 2011.
Today she returned to Huddersfield for a 4th time, and is looking for a new home.
Current mileage is 40,800.
There is a large history file, which includes photographic records of the 1999 refurbishment.
I’m certain Lucille will prove to be faithful and reliable for her next custodian.
