Nigel had been looking for a Land Rover for a while – but being an engineer by trade, he knew he was looking for something “special”.
The ideal Land Rover would be very original and not “messed about with”.
After having considered and viewed a number of Land Rovers, he found MVE 997R on our web site, and earlier this week he rang to ask for more details – and to see if it was as good as it looked in the pictures (as he had found that this was not always the case when he had travelled elsewhere to view Land Rovers.
We assured him that it was, and it was agreed that we would “hold” the Land Rover until he could make the trip up to visit us today.
After a lovely half hour test run around the Yorkshire countryside, I could see by the smile on Nigel’s face that he had found the Land Rover that he had been searching for.
“Mavis” (as she will be known from now on) – is a very original 1976 88″ Station wagon.
We will be carrying out final preparation before Nigel takes delivery.
