One of the pleasures of our work, here at Land Rover Centre is the people we meet on our journey.
Over the years we have met people from all walks of life, including business leaders and “celebrities” – all with a common interest – Land Rovers.
Last week, we received a call from “Felicity” who was looking for a nice Freelander 2 to replace her aging Discovery.
Luckily we had a very low mileage example to offer, and a deal was agreed, subject to her viewing when she travelled down from her home in the borders to collect.
What a lovely surprise it was to meet Felicity, and her husband today – Round the world Yachtsman /Adventurer / Businessman – Sir Chay Blyth a gentleman who has been achieving on the water since 1966 when he rowed the North Atlantic in a 20ft open dory with Captain John Ridgway
A short test drive around the local countryside, and Felicity was happy to conclude the purchase.

Just to say thank you for making the buying of a new car as painless as possible! I am very pleased with the Freelander and think it will suit me very well for the next few years.
Thank you too for taking my old discovery, especially after we arrived in such style! I hope you get a good price on EBay. She has looked after me well for the past seven years!
I must commend you and your lads for such a fantastic service. Everyone very friendly and understanding, I will certainly recommend the Land Rover Centre to anyone although I confess I know people north and south of the country, but no-one in the middle! Having said that, I may well come to you when the Freelander needs a service!
