Back in the summer last year, Clay put a call into us from Texas.
He is a keen Land Rover enthusiast, and his friend Stephen was about to “pull the trigger” on the purchase of a Land Rover – But already owning a “Land Rover Centre Huddersfield” Land Rover – Clay decided to just ring us for some advice on behalf of his friend.
As it happened – that was a good move – because the Land Rover Stephen was about to purchase, would not have been allowed import into the USA.
We have been exporting to America since 1991 and have a vast amount of knowledge, and are always happy to help and advise when we can.
In the end, Stephen was exceptionally glad of our advice, and decided to purchase “Lucille” – a lovely 1978 Series 3 Station Wagon from us.
Today we were pleased to hear from Stephen and receive a picture of Clay and Stephen’s “fleet” of Land Rovers that they recently took to a car show in Dallas.
“Mark,
I’m just sending you an update with Lucille. So far I’ve put around 7000 miles on her.
She’s running great.
Very very fun 🙂
Lucille has been my daily driver since I purchased her. Everyone seems to take pictures, and is always interested in her story.
There is so much more to share, but I figured I would give you a quick update before I sent pictures.
Clay and I recently took our Land Rover fleet to a British car show here in Dallas. Here is a picture of the cars.
I’ll send you more soon.
Stephen”
