About 6 months ago, we were contacted by Neil in Australia. He wanted to buy a 1972 Land Rover for his soon to be 50 year old (1972) brother Gavin in Wiltshire.
It was decided that “JHO” would be the perfect present.
At the end of March, we were proud to be able to surprise Gavin on behalf of Neil with this great Land Rover.
A good few weeks have passed now, and we were really pleased o receive this update today.

As promised here are a couple of pictures from JHO117L – now christened Algernon for no particularly good reason other than it seems to fit – on his intrepid expedition to the Brecon Beacons!
He went absolutely perfectly there and back, and got lots of envious comments on the campsite… He looks truly at home in the field, even if he was a little soggy after a night of heavy rain.
